Lake St. George State Park is nestled on land abutting the beautifully clean and crystal clear spring fed water of Lake St. George. The park has a brand new playground, and numerous picnic tables and hibachi grills for you luncheon desires. The park also offers canoe, paddleboat, rowboat, andkayak rentals for a minimal fee. Across the street from the park is a vast wilderness ehich stretches for acres. There are hiking trails where wildlife can be spotted. Swimming is one of the park’s main attractions. We have a designated swimming area which is lifeguard staffed from mid June to the end of August. Fish here include salmon, trout, and bass. There is a boat launch nearby the park.
If you thought that was all, there is more! Lake St. George also has a 38 site campground as well. New for the 2009 season we will have state of the art comfort stations with hot showers. There is a camper dump station for the campers to use and place to fill up with water. There are two stores, a cafe, restaurant, and ice cream parlor all within two miles of the park. The campground and day use area have volleyball and horseshoe pits. Whether you’re camping or using the day use area, we would love to see you here at Lake St. George.
